Goulburn Valley Suicide Awareness Walk 2026

On Sunday, members of the Rotary Club of Kinglake Ranges attended the Goulburn Valley Suicide Awareness Walk in Yea. Representing the club were Sarah, Junior Rotarian Jessie, Lucy the Jack Russell, Tamara, and Junior Rotarian Hendrix.

Sarah, Jessie and Lucy completed the full 6km walk, while Hendrix managed an impressive 3.5km a fantastic effort for a five-year-old who wasn’t feeling his best. He still found enough energy afterwards to enjoy some time at the playground!

It was a beautiful morning spent honouring those who have been lost, sharing stories, raising awareness and supporting one another.

A heartfelt thank you to the organisers, Goulburn Valley Suicide Awareness, for hosting such a meaningful event and bringing the community together.

We would also like to thank the police and CFA volunteers for safely guiding walkers across the roads and helping ensure everyone’s safety throughout the walk.

A special thank you to fellow Rotarians Jill and Darryl for providing the BBQ and helping make the event such a meaningful community gathering.
