Bringing people together, one event at a time
Some of the best memories are made when people come together.
Whether it's over a sausage on the BBQ, a community market, a local fundraiser or a family event, the Rotary Club of Kinglake Ranges believes that strong communities are built through connection.
Our events aren't just about raising funds - they're about creating opportunities for neighbours to meet, families to connect, youth to grow, local organisations to collaborate and visitors to experience everything that makes the Kinglake Ranges such a special place.
From annual traditions to new community initiatives, we're proud to help bring people together.
Throughout the year, you'll find our club involved in a wide variety of community events, including:
Community BBQs
Whether we're cooking for hundreds of people at a local market, keeping the local sports teams fed on presentation night or supporting another community organisation, our BBQ trailer is often at the heart of the action.
It's amazing how a simple snag in bread can bring people together.

Kinglake Market
Held on the fourth Sunday of every month, the Kinglake Market has become one of the region's favourite community gatherings.
It's where locals catch up, visitors explore, businesses thrive and our community comes together.

Lift the Lid Walk - For Mental Health
Each year we proudly support the Lift the Lid Walk to help raise awareness of mental health and encourage important conversations within our community.
Held alongside the popular Kinglake Show N Shine, it's a day that combines community connection with a cause that affects us all.

Kinglake Show N Shine
Enjoy the Kinglake Show N Shine right after you finish your walk for Lift the Lid.
Classic cars, great people, a cardboard box car rally for the kids, live music and a fantastic community atmosphere.
The Kinglake Show N Shine has become a highlight on the local calendar, attracting car enthusiasts and families from near and far, all while supporting mental health.

Community Celebrations
From local book launches and school events to family fun days and community gatherings, our members are always happy to lend a hand wherever we're needed.
That might look like firing up the BBQ, getting the event space ready, providing some of our hire items, serving coffee and sweets or maybe a working bee to help out in the lead up to a celebration.

Anzac Day Dawn Service
Each ANZAC Day, our club is proud to support the local dawn service, helping the community come together to pause, remember and honour those who have served and sacrificed for Australia and New Zealand.
Once the service comes to an end, our members get to work cooking up the traditional gunfire breakfast — a hot breakfast on the BBQ and cuppa shared by the community as the sun comes up.
It's an early start, but it's one of those mornings that reminds us why community matters.
