Supporting Our Junior Sports

Backing young people on and off the field

We proudly support local junior football and basketball clubs, recognising the important role community sport plays in helping young people develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and connection.

Because sometimes the best life lessons happen outside the classroom.

Supporting Our Junior Sports Clubs
Helping Young People Find Their Team

Sport is about so much more than what happens on the field.

For young people, being part of a junior sporting club can mean finding friendships, learning how to work as a team, building confidence, developing resilience and discovering the feeling of belonging to something bigger than themselves.

That's why the Rotary Club of Kinglake Ranges proudly supports local junior football and basketball clubs.

We believe our local sporting clubs play an important role in helping young people grow into healthy, confident and connected members of the community.

More Than Just a Game

For many kids, their sporting club is one of the first places they learn about:

Teamwork.
Working together towards something bigger than yourself.

Resilience.
Learning that it's okay to lose, make mistakes and have another go.

Confidence.
Finding your voice, trying something new and discovering what you're capable of.

Friendship.
Building connections that can last well beyond the season.

Community.
Knowing that you're part of something and that people are cheering you on.

These are the things that make grassroots sport so valuable.

Backing Local Kids

Our club provides support to local junior football and basketball clubs because investing in young people is an investment in the future of the Kinglake Ranges.

We love seeing local sporting clubs create opportunities for children and teenagers to get active, meet people and develop skills in an environment where they can simply be themselves.

Whether they're scoring the winning goal, learning a new skill, sitting on the bench, cheering from the sidelines or making friends at training, every young person deserves the chance to be part of a team.

Why We Support Junior Sport

We know that strong sporting clubs contribute to strong communities.

By supporting junior sport, we're helping local organisations continue to provide opportunities for young people while strengthening the network of clubs, families and volunteers that make our community what it is.

It's not about the scoreboard.

It's about giving young people somewhere to belong.

Get Involved

Want to support local junior sport?

There are plenty of ways to get involved, from volunteering and coaching to sponsoring a team or simply getting along to support the kids.

And if you've got an idea for how we can help, we'd love to hear from you.

Every young person deserves a team in their corner.

Proudly serving the Kinglake Ranges community since 2011. Part of Rotary International's global network of 1.4 million members across 200+ countries.
